BLACK SHADOW aka DJ RAGE and LEILLA KONIG.
BLACK SHADOW is the most sucessful project of the duo,the most Funky also. DJ RAGE started his career as a DJ in a hip-hop crew,but he quickly switch to house music,deeply influenced by early British scene such as Rhythm King label,Bomb The Bass...then by American productions after the release of DJ Pierre:PHUTURE-Acid Trax. In 1991,he started his producer career with a self produced CD named :Third-Wave Analysis,rather experimental and techno. In 1996,Laurent had productions licenced by indie and majors French labels,to be included in compilations projects. Since 1998,he keep on producing under various names according to the trend targeted-techno-hardhouse-tribal...They also played in the greatest Paris Club such as Queen Paris,Folies Pigalle...and across the world(U.K,Belgium,Spain,Portugal...) In 2000 he works with North club and Basic traxx labels and release some club hits like Gimme The Beat-North08 ,or Waiting-NR10 and a few on BTR under the name of Red City. In 2003 they create a new label partnership : Reversed records,about 6 releases by DJ RAGE and Leilla KONIG,his partner in crime : Black shadow 'Can you stand the funk' , this track get a real buzz at the WMC2004 ,'I heard somebody' , 'Supafreakz' supported by the best DJs in USA,UK... Black Shadow delivered us some of the best funky disco house releases over the years for sure. In 2005 ,they decide to create their own label and production office : FACE 2 FACE PROD AND CUBETRAXX. 2006... is really a good year for DJ Rage,Black Shadow with the release :Disco Dancerz EP on Toolroom traxx...supported by :Steve Angelo-Brian cox-judge Jules-Donald Glaude- Mark Knight-Dj Paulette-Benny Benassi-Noir-Sander Kleinenberg- ATFC-D Ramirez-Peter Presta-Nic Fanciulli-Eric Pridz,etc.... LEILLA KONIG -30 years old. Thanks to her father who ran several bars in Paris and Bruxelles during fifteen years,Leilla has always been concerned by music and she quickly joined some groups. In 1990 she met laurent-Dj Rage-at this time he was still DJ in a hip-hop crew.Beside him,Leilla learned the basis electronic music,which allowed her to play live with him in several nightclubs in Paris and all over the world...She was focused on the sampling side of their set.On the production side,Leilla is considered as Laurent's muse,even she had a real involvement in the production with her electro project CLUB DELUXE.?Leilla is also managing all inquiries about DJ RAGE booking for all countries.?For this time she works some new traxx for CLUB DELUXE,Leilla write her lyrics in Frensh with DJ Rage.?She works as A&R for cubetraxx labels.
